Layer Colts U10 Yellows continued their superb run of form at the weekend, picking up another impressive victory against Halstead Town Youth U10s — and doing so in style, crossing a remarkable milestone in the process.
The side netted their 100th and 101st goals of the season during the match, a testament to the attacking quality and relentless hard work this group of youngsters have put in all campaign. It's the kind of landmark that doesn't happen by accident — it's built on week-in, week-out dedication from every player, coach, and supporter.
Player of the match: Mark Dominant in central midfield — tenacious in the tackle, commanding in his positioning, and a true presence at the heart of the team. Mark was an absolute rock, shutting down opposition attacks before they could develop.
Up front, the combination play between Freddie, Jake, and David was a joy to watch. The three linked up brilliantly throughout the game, combining with clever movement and sharp passing to carve out — and convert — some quality chances. Each goal was a real team effort.
