What a season it has been for the Layer Colts U10’s Yellows!

From the very first whistle back in September, the team has shown determination, teamwork, and an incredible hunger to improve—and the results speak for themselves. Between September and February, the Yellows enjoyed a remarkable run of form, losing just once and drawing only twice. This consistency saw the team rewarded with not one, but two promotions, a fantastic achievement that reflects the hard work of every single player and coach.

Adding to the excitement, by March the boys had broken through an incredible milestone—over 100 goals scored! An outstanding return that highlights not only their attacking flair but also the confidence and creativity they’ve developed throughout the season.

Rising to the Challenge

With success comes tougher competition, and the most recent league has certainly tested the squad. Facing stronger opposition week in and week out has been a new challenge, and while results haven’t always gone our way this time, the team’s spirit has never dropped. The boys have continued to battle, learn, and improve with every game—and importantly, they’ve kept finding the back of the net.

This phase of the season has been just as valuable, showing the resilience and character that will help them grow even further in the future.

Looking Ahead – Awards Day 🎉

We are now looking forward to celebrating the season together at our Awards Ceremony on 6th June. It promises to be a great morning recognising the achievements of the team, with awards including:

  • Players’ Player
  • Supporters’ Player
  • Manager’s Player
  • Most improved
  • Colt of the Year
  • Most Player of the Match Awards

In addition, we’re proud to announce a special award kindly donated by IT Fleet Automotive, recognising a player who has shown outstanding contribution throughout the season.

We will share all the winners after the event—but regardless of who takes home an award, every single player should be incredibly proud. Each lad has played a vital role in what has been a truly memorable season.
